Second time in Luxembourg. More than 100 senior practitioners, two high-impact panels, and one clear message: the EU AML Package is no longer theory.
Financial Crime Fighters is AMLYZE’s event format bringing together regulators, financial institutions, and compliance practitioners for honest conversations about where AML/CFT is heading and what it actually takes to get there. After editions in Vilnius and Warsaw, Luxembourg has hosted the series twice – most recently on 28 May. And every time, the quality of the room makes it worth it.
Co-hosted by AMLYZE and Elvinger Hoss Prussen, the invitation-only afternoon brought together Luxembourg’s leading regulators, financial institutions, and compliance experts to address the operational reality of the EU AML framework transition.
The keynote was delivered by Anouk Dumont, Deputy Director of the Luxembourg FIU / CRF – offering a high-level view on AML/CFT priorities and where Luxembourg stands as AMLA prepares to take shape. Her presence underscored the event’s standing as a genuine platform for regulatory dialogue, not just industry discussion.
Across two panels, three themes dominated: the urgency of aligning compliance operations with the single rulebook ahead of AMLA supervision, the persistent gap between STR volume and STR quality, and the growing systemic role of fintechs, EMIs, and VASPs in Luxembourg’s risk landscape and what that means for supervisory proportionality.
The event closed with a cocktail reception hosted by AMLYZE at the Elvinger Hoss Prussen premises. Financial Crime Fighters will return: stay tuned for the next edition.
